TB CARE I Deputy Project Director /

Purpose of position
You will act as the Deputy TB CARE I Project Director for the implementation of the USAID funded TB CARE project, for which KNCV is the lead partner in Indonesia. You will be responsible for overall management of the KNCV office situated in Jakarta.
In this position your responsibilities are supervision of staff (80), financial and administrative affairs of KNCV office Indonesia. Your working area will be Indonesia.
In this position you directly report to the Country Representative Officer / TB CARE I Project Director. You also will act as the representative of the Country Representative Officer in his absence.
The office works closely with the Ministry of Health on tuberculosis control activities, at headquarter and provincial level. You will support the Indonesia government achieving the Millennium Development Goals for tuberculosis through the implementation of its NTP 5-year strategic plan 2011-2015.
You will coordinate and work closely together on administrative issues with the partners that implement the TB CARE I program in the country (ATS, FHI, MSH, The Union, WHO). You will work in close coordination with the Government of Indonesia (in particular the National TB Program – NTP - in the Ministry of Health) and other stakeholders in TB control such as private sector and NGO’s.

Who are we looking for?
You are a Senior all round Manager with an academic Master degree, preferable in Business Administration or Public Administration, with at least 10 years of experience in (project) management in developing countries and working in or with NGO’s. You preferably have experience in managing USAID supported projects. Having experience with the management of public health programs is an advantage. Besides strong leadership, you have proven strategic skills including decision making. You have affinity with working in a multicultural working environment and excellent communication skills. You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Active knowledge and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is an important advantage. You will make frequent duty travels inside Indonesia, and sometimes abroad.
